BVC Foundation’s Service to Shiva Devotees

On the second Monday of Shravan, thousands of devotees experienced the heartfelt hospitality of the Bhagyavidhata Charitable Foundation and Trust (Regd) as they gathered to offer water at the sacred Kashi Vishwanath temple. The Foundation embarked on a unique initiative, distributing free water and the renowned thandai of Kashi along the temple route.

A Day of Devotion and Service

Varanasi, July 29 — In the heart of Varanasi, long queues of devotees formed overnight, eager to worship Baba Shri Vishwanath. To ease their spiritual journey, the Foundation’s dedicated workers set up stalls early in the morning, extending their services especially to the elderly and matrishakti (women power) waiting in the lines.

The service program commenced at 6 AM near the Bada Dev temple in Godaulia and continued throughout the day, touching the lives of over 5,000 devotees. In the sweltering heat, the free distribution of water and the famed thandai of Kashi was a blessing for those standing in line. Joyful chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echoed as devotees relished the refreshing thandai.

A Message of Unity and Devotion

Foundation Chairman Shri Santosh Chaudhary expressed, “Kashi is the center of our culture. It is a privilege for all of us to serve here. We want that every devotee can worship Baba Shri Vishwanath without any difficulty. Kashi is not just a geographical place for me, but an unfathomable source of my spiritual energy.”

Chaudhary emphasized that their goal is to ensure every devotee visiting Kashi during Sawan feels the warmth of hospitality and service. He highlighted the lesson of equality and unity inherent in the Kanwar Yatra and Mahadev worship, promoting a sense of solidarity. “If one wants to attain the realization of God in true sense, then the path of service will always be preferable,” he added.

Looking Forward: Fruit Distribution on the Coming Monday

Program coordinator Priyanshu Tiwari shared that special arrangements were made for fasting devotees, with pure bottled water and thandai provided to ensure purity. The distribution program received significant support from the local community. Tiwari announced that the trust plans to distribute fruits to devotees on the coming Monday.

Shiva devotees, moved by the hospitality and care of the people of Kashi, expressed their gratitude, saying, “It was heartening to see that the people of the trust are helping in this deadly scorching heat.” The event received widespread praise and appreciation from all who attended.

Dedicated Team of Volunteers

The success of the program was made possible by the tireless efforts of the Foundation’s volunteers, including Shri Madhav Chaudhary, Shri Aditya Rawat, Shri Abhishek Mishra, Shri Akash, Shri Nikhil Mishra, Shri Jitendra Yadav, Shri Pradeep Singh, Shri Prince Dwivedi, Shri Naveen Singh, and Shri Siddharth Sonkar. Their commitment to service exemplified the spirit of unity and devotion that defines the Bhagyavidhata Charitable Foundation.
